Relationship Among Offices
The offices of the firm in each country are separate partnerships or other entities as required by local law. Each office is professionally independent of other offices. Except for the Russian Practice Group, no attorney in any office is authorized to contractually commit or otherwise obligate any other office or any attorney in any other office. The firm does not hold itself out as engaging in the joint practice of law whereby two or more of the firm’s offices would be involved in or responsible for a client’s matter unless specific written arrangements for services by more than one office are made in advance in order to meet a client’s needs.
The Russian Practice Group consists of the firm’s offices in Moscow, Vladivostok and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and operates as a single unit to provide legal services throughout the world on matters that involve the Russian legal system and the government of the Russian Federation.
